International Workshop on Privacy and Security for Information Systems (WPS 20)

International Workshop on Privacy and Security for Information Systems (WPS 20)

The IEEE International Workshop on Privacy and Security for Information Systems (WPS) will take place during the 2020 IEEE CNS in Avignon, France on July 1, 2020. Previously unpublished contributions in security and privacy methods for biometrics, 5G, IoT, and database search based on information- and coding-theoretic methods are solicited, including (but not limited to):

  • Biometric secrecy systems

  • Physical unclonable functions (PUFs)

  • Secrecy and secret-key capacity of wireless channels

  • Optimal code constructions for security and privacy

  • Differential Privacy (DP) mechanisms

  • Information theoretic privacy mechanisms

  • Guessing for privacy

  • Practical code designs for physical-layer security in 5G and IoT

  • Private Information Retrieval (PIR)

  • Privacy amplification with extractors and hash functions

The workshop will feature three keynotes given by world leading researchers Aylin Yener, Salim El Rouayhaeb, and Salman Avestimehr.

  • WPS REGISTRATION EXPLANATIONS: Our workshop IEEE WPS 2020 is a satellite workshop of the conference IEEE CNS 2020, but the workshop registration is different than conference registration. The authors/attendees of IEEE WPS 2020 do NOT have to register for the IEEE CNS 2020. The registration fee for the workshop is also different! The Workshop Registration deadline is May 8, 2020  for the authors of IEEE WPS 2020! For registration and more information, see the Workshop Paper Authors section on Conference Registration.

  • ***JOURNAL UPDATE***: Organisers of the IEEE WPS 2020 are organising a special issue on Privacy and Security of Information Systems in the IEEE Information Theory Society's Journal on Selected Areas in Information Theory (JSAIT). Paper Submission Deadline is August 1, 2020. Please see the Call-for-Papers and JSAIT Author Information for more information!!

(please check the Up-to-date Workshop Website for more information!)
